JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - With traditionally heavier traffic accompanying Memorial Day weekend, the Missouri Department of Transportation will stop most roadwork.
The department will resume work in its routine work zones next Tuesday at 6 a.m. While most work zones will be inactive over the weekend, the Department says some lane closures may have to stay and place.
The department urges motorists to drive safely this weekend, buckled up with their phones down.
